Do you realise that God is a designer God? In this day and age when everyone is wanting to wear labelled goods; to the point where if your child doesn’t have the ‘right label’ they can feel ostracized – isn’t it good to know that we are wearing the right label as far as God is concerned?

Psalm 139:14 says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul well knoweth.”

Jesus is the Right Label.

It is only with this label attached that we can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. It doesn’t matter to God whether you are a Pentecostal or an Evangelical, so long as you are wearing the label that really matters – the blood of Jesus.

I remember hosting a fashion show many years ago which was a great success. We spent the day focussing on hair and make up and in the evening various designers showed their creations. The evening culminated in Pastor Michael Bassett walking onto the catwalk in his designer sunglasses and his crocodile shoes and saying exactly what I am saying here – our God is a designer God!

Did you know that He took particular care when He designed you? But, most importantly, He designed you with a ‘God-shaped hole’ in you – a space that nothing else will fit into except God Himself.

We can spend our lives trying to put other things into that hole. Some people try to fill it with drugs or drink. Some people think children will fill it; others that money will do the trick.

But the designer knew what He was doing. He designed you so that you would never be complete without Him.
